Hi there! I decided to make a second post today since I've waited so long to update! Anyway, as many nail art bloggers do, I'm sharing the names of the lacquers in my collection. It's constantly growing (in fact, I have an order pending from Ulta, where I made a huge haul on their brand of polishes and China Glaze's "Ruby Slippers" which I've been eyeing!) so this list may need updated over time. Cheap Deborah Lippmann "Happy Birthday" dupe?

Sorry for the delay in posting! It's been outrageously busy around here, and despite photographing some manicures, I've been lacking in the time to post! So here we go with a fab manicure I did just today.

I bought this beautiful Milani lacquer today, which is called "Gems." It is a very obvious dupe of the high-end, pricey Deborah Lippmann lacquer "Happy Birthday."

For some reason, the lighting in these two photos ended up different. Hm... anyway, you can definitely see the dimension and colors in the second photo. "Gems" is loaded with larger silver, gold, pink, green and orange hexagonal glitter and green, blue, red and silver square glitter, which is smaller. The formula is very thick and the brush is consistently loaded with a large amount of glitter each time. It's easy to apply and totally stunning on.

I layered "Gems" over top of a cheap black lacquer that I got from my local drugstore. The combination is totally gorgeous. I would recommend this gorgeous, low-priced Milani dupe for anyone that's been drooling over "Happy Birthday" but hesitated because of the steep price.

NEW Orly Royal Navy

Today I tried out a brand new Orly polish that I bought. It's called Royal Navy, and it appears to have been just released since it had a tag around the neck of the bottle that said "new!" Usually I'm really pleased with Orly polish, but this was a little of a different story.

The polish itself is a dark navy blue with a vivid blue shimmer to it. In the picture, I put on three coats of the Royal Blue polish with a base and top coat. I had a lot of problems with balding because the formula was very sheer and thin, so a lot of layers was necessary. It was really hard to capture in a photo the glittery shine that's in there, too. I thought that the shimmer would be much more noticeable. I'm totally disappointed with the polish overall. The color is very vivid and attractive but the formula and the subtlety of the glittery shimmer is downright disappointing. I also feel like it's a color that I couldn't make a manicure out of. I have to give this polish a thumbs down.

Welcome to backbones nail art! Also, Hemp lotion.

Hey everyone! I've recently had a lot of extra time on my hands because of school scheduling. I found myself really bored at home all day, so I took up nail art. It's more of a hobby than anything, but it's turning into a passion way faster than I could have ever imagined. Anyway, this is going to be a blog about my nail art and favorite products/polishes and I'll update whenever I can. I hope you all like my work and share this site with your friends and other nail art enthusiasts once it's up and running more.

To make this relevant though, I want to share with you something that has pretty much ruled ever since I bought it. A little while back, I bought a little $2, 2 oz bottle of pomegranate mango Hemp body moisturizer by Moist from Sally's Beauty.

I just got around to using it today and I love it! Its a very fast-absorbing yet thick formula that smells heavenly. It doesn't leave a greasy film on your hands (one of my biggest pet peeves!) and it really makes your skin smooth. It makes my cuticles/knuckles (which are always super dry!) look wonderful and feel soft. If your skin is as gnarly as mine is, I would check this little beauty out.
